Mobile Housing Authority Hosts Successful Fraud Education Summit for Senior Residents

In October, the Mobile Housing Authority (MHA) hosted a successful Fraud Education Summit at Central Plaza Towers, coordinated by Alabama State Representative Adline C. Clarke, in partnership with the Alabama Securities Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

MHA was pleased to welcome guest speakers Anna Jordan, Legislative Director of External Affairs with the Alabama Securities Commission, and Evey Owen of the Better Business Bureau, along with Representative Clarke.

The summit provided senior residents with valuable information on how to recognize, prevent, and protect themselves from common scams and fraudulent activities. Topics included payment app fraud, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency scams, romance scams, and investment fraud schemes.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to educate and empower our senior residents with the knowledge and resources needed to protect their personal and financial information.

MHA remains committed to promoting the safety, well-being, and financial security of our residents. We extend a special thank-you to Representative Adline C. Clarke for coordinating this important event, as well as our guest speakers, community partners, and MHA staff for helping make the summit a success!
